The concept is based on a hook and loop fastening system using carpet tile. The backing of the carpet tile has a loop material covering the entire underside. Hook tapes are fastened to the sub-floor by means of a pressure-sensitive adheasive. The hook and loops 'engage' and form a mechanical bond, which holds the carpet tile in place.
